Responses and Resources

“Being Conference to one another” means offering help and encouragement during tough times. This page of resources is meant to provide tools and inspiration to church leaders and congregations. If you have resource to share, please contact imoffice@im.mennonite.net.

A word from Dan Miller

Former Conference Pastor, Dan Miller, provides insight into each of the Core Competencies in a series of videos.

LOOKING AHEAD

Because conditions vary so much from one location to another, IMMC recommends listening to the advice of local and state health authorities, AND considering the welfare of the congregation’s most vulnerable participants. These articles can help pastors thoughtfully consider the future and ways to respond as faithful followers of Jesus.

GRIEF & MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES

We are experiencing loss in so many ways: loss of loved ones, loss of freedoms, loss of privileges, loss of income, etc. The following resources are meant to help you care for your own grief and to assist you in caring for others who are grieving.  Additionally, we recognize that mental illness is a difficult journey and that some may be more effected during this pandemic. We encourage pastors and congregants to seek out a licensed professional.
