“Renewal is in the Air!” We boldly proclaimed this expectation during the first call to worship at Summer Fest ’24. And we truly experienced God’s Spirit inviting us to new ways of living and being together as a conference. Thanks be to God! We are deeply grateful for the warm hospitality of the Mara Christian Church of America – Indiana, who hosted us in Greenwood June 7-8.

Group games, lawn games, hymn sing, creating worship art, and breaks from sessions created meaningful spaces to interact with one another at Summer Fest ’24. We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with youth and young adult delegates this year.

Joanne joined MC USA conference ministers in a monthly zoom meeting June 11, where they shared how our different conferences structure their annual gatherings.

Joanne completed Intercultural Development Inventory debriefs with IMMC team members. In the coming year, IMMC will work to administer the IDI to pastors.

Transitional and interim pastors engaged in conversation about transforming congregational conflictat our quarterly meeting.Sharon was one of 11 in this zoom meeting on June 12.

Ndunge Sefu began as interim pastor at Kalamazoo Mennonite Fellowship on June 2.
