Merry Christmas from IMMC!

We bring you warm and joyful greetings from Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference! We are so grateful for work we can do together and the fun we can have with one another. In that spirit, donned in our silly antlers to bring you this message that we hope continues to inspire us to our good work.

Mary sang,
“With all my heart I praise the Lord,
and I am glad because of God my Savior.
God cares for me, God’s humble servant.
From now on, all people will say God has blessed me.
God All-Powerful has done great things for me,
and God’s name is holy.”
(Luke 1:46-49)

During Advent, we are invited to step back in time nearly 2000 years to imagine a time before the birth of Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah. While Jesus was not the Messiah that most expected, the song Mary sang before his birth revealed exactly what Jesus would be about. Just as God was doing a new thing back then, God is also doing new things today if we are ready to perceive it. May God give you visions of the new and transformative things already begun in, among, and around us this Christmas Season!

Please note the the IMMC Offices will be closed from December 21, 2023 to January 2, 2024. In case of emergency, please reach out to Joanne or Sharon. We will look forward to responding to all other emails and phone calls upon our return on January 3, 2024.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the staff of Indiana-Michigan Mennonite Conference: Joanne Gallardo, Sharon Yoder, Clayton Gladish, and Michelle Cabanaw.
