“Many Gifts: Calling and Growing Congregational Leaders.”
This booklet is a practical resource to pastors and other church leaders in calling out and nurturing the gifts of children, youth and adults, to deepen our commitment to forming a people of God, becoming a global church and growing leaders. When people discover their authentic selves and are affirmed for those gifts, they are freed to joyfully serve the church's mission and their varied God given gifts. This is not a book of instructions. It is a guide with some helpful suggestions and resource lists to help our congregations think about developing leaders and Culture of Call at all stages of life and for all forms of ministry. More information. |

Presentation on faith and global warming. Bob Yoder, campus minister at Goshen (Ind.) College, and Paul Steury, education coordinator at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, have been trained by Al Gore to speak to faith communities about the challenges of and solutions to the climate crisis. Bob and Paul, who were among the first group of faith leaders to participate in The Climate Project (TCP) training program, are available to deliver an educational slideshow on climate change and to lead discussions on how churches, individuals and communities can reduce their environmental impact and urge others to action. They can adapt the length and style of their presentation for various contexts. There is no charge. To invite Bob to speak to your group, contact him at 574 535-7542 or robertey@goshen.edu. To invite Paul to speak to your group, contact him at 260 799-5869 or paulds@goshen.edu. Read more. |

Facebook for adults who work with youth at Mennonite churches in Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky (IN-MI Youth Workers) facebook.com
This is open to all Central District and IN-MI youth workers -- paid or unpaid. The goal is to be able to connect with youth workers who are too far away to join our monthly meetings, and with those who are unable to meet for other reasons. We really want to be able to support each other -- one way or another -- and we see the possibility of technology helping here. |
