News - Transition Team process
At the June 14-16, 2007, Annual Sessions, delegates approved the Listening & Redesign Proposal by 96% and the Executive Committee named a Transition Team to discern how to implement the system redesign proposal. The Transition Team held their first meeting on August 21, 2007.

The Transition Team has been focusing on putting the new Missional Leadership Team (MLT), Advisory Council (AC) and Gifts Discernment Team (GDT) in place by asking an expanded group of potential leaders -- many nominated by delegates at Annual Sessions -- to participate in a Sept. 6 orientation at Olive Mennonite, Elkhart, Ind. Following the event, the Transition Team will begin to appoint the MLT and AC.
TT members have identified the remaining tasks that they (or task forces they appoint) will work on during this fiscal year. At the TT’s invitation, the EC formed a task force to work on the logistics and job description for the regional conference ministers, and a task force to address Amigo Centre’s and Bethany Christian Schools’ places in the new structure. The TT also will identify a task force to define a basic constitution for the new organization.
