Pastoral sexual misconduct can be devastating. That is why IN-MI Mennonite Conference is committed to providing a safe avenue for persons directly affected by sexual misconduct to report it. Once the initial “misconduct report” has been received, an experienced, trained individual will listen to you, provide helpful resources, and walk with you through the initial part of the process.
Conversations are confidential!
If you need to report pastor sexual misconduct you may contact Evie Shellenberger, the conference first responder, directly at 812-653-9703. Evie has over 20 years experience with sexual abuse awareness and prevention. She was part of drafting the first policy for responding to clergy sexual misconduct in IN-MI Mennonite Conference and has been serving in this capacity since that time. Calls made directly to the conference office at 574-534-4006 will help connect you to Evie.
